Tissue or airlaid: which napkin for your cutlery?
Tissue is the classic absorbent paper: it is the napkin in the 20 x 8.5 cm pouches, in 2 plies. Airlaid is a non-woven with a textile look, thicker and better to hold, which keeps its shape once folded: it is used for cutlery-holder napkins and more dressed tables. Softpoint, offered in the custom version, sits between the two.
How many pouches should you order?
Allow one pouch per cover served. Example: a restaurant with 80 covers that runs two services a day, six days a week, uses about 960 pouches a week, a little under two cases of 520. Add a margin for tables reset during service.

How should you present the cutlery in the pouch?
Slip the fork and knife in together, blade facing inwards, with the spoon if the menu requires it. Prepare the pouches before service and store them protected: the cutlery stays protected from handling until it reaches the table, and setting up takes a single movement.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a sleeve and a cutlery pouch?
The sleeve is a simple paper sheath that holds the cutlery. The pouch also includes a napkin, or is itself a napkin folded into a pocket.
Is the napkin included?
Yes in the 20 x 8.5 cm pouches, with a white 33 x 33 cm 2-ply napkin. No in the sleeves, where the napkin is added separately.
What is the minimum for a custom pouch?
3,000 units, with tiers up to 48,000 and a unit price that falls with quantity.
Are the pouches suitable for terraces? Yes: cutlery and napkin stay grouped in a single item placed on the table.
Are certified versions available?
The 32 g/m² kraft sleeve is stated on its product page as suitable for food contact and PEFC certified.
