Takeaway crepe and galette packaging

    Filter

To sell takeaway crepes and galettes, Covr offers four packaging formats wholesale: the greaseproof paper pouch, the cardboard cone, the corrugated cardboard tray and the triangular box.

The format is chosen according to how the crepe is folded and eaten: on the go, while walking, or flat with cutlery.

12 x 17,5 cm, one or two open sides, pack of 2,000

      Cardboard cone

Crepe rolled or folded into a cone, sold at markets or events

      12 x 2,5 x 19 cm, pack of 2,000

      Corrugated cardboard tray

Filled galette served flat, eaten with cutlery

      17 x 17 x 2,5 cm, white or natural, pack of 800

      Triangular corrugated cardboard box

Folded galette carried away, takeaway order

      18 x 23 x 3 cm, white or natural, pack of 500

The pouch and the cone keep the crepe in the hand. The tray and the box protect it when it travels or when it is heavily filled.

What matters when packaging a hot crepe

A hot crepe releases grease and steam. Greaseproof paper stops butter or melted sugar from soaking through the pouch and staining hands. The corrugated cardboard of trays and boxes provides the rigidity that paper lacks, useful for a filled galette.

For orders of several crepes, stack the trays or boxes in a wide-bottomed catering kraft bag: the packaging stays flat during transport.

To complete the service: food-grade greaseproof paper, paper napkins and paper cups for hot drinks.

Frequently asked questions about crepe packaging

Which packaging should you choose for a takeaway crepe?

For a sweet crepe eaten right away, the greaseproof paper pouch is the most practical. For a filled galette, choose a stiffer corrugated cardboard tray or box.

How do you transport crepes without crushing them?

Serve each galette flat in a tray or triangular box, then place the packaging flat in a wide-bottomed bag.

      What quantities can you deliver?

Crepe packaging is sold in packs of 500 to 2,000 units depending on the format. For a regular volume, request a quote, we reply within 24 h.
