FAQ
How to choose sturdy disposable plates?
Disposable plates unfortunately tend to bend when held in one hand or overfilled... To buy quality disposable plates, pay attention to the weight of the plates, i.e. the density of the cardboard used in their manufacture.
Why use cardboard plates?
Cardboard plates are suited to quick eating without much movement (picnic, buffet, wedding, birthday). To transport your food better, opt instead for kraft bowls and their lids: your food will stay hot and will not risk spilling.
What sizes of cardboard plates are there?
Depending on your use, you can choose different plate formats: 15 cm cardboard plates for dessert plates or for a buffet of small foods, 18 cm plates for classic dishes or 23 cm plates for larger quantities.
Can cardboard plates go in the microwave?
It is not recommended to put cardboard in the microwave in general, unless the packaging bears a mention to the contrary ("microwave safe" for example). To find out more about what is microwaveable, you can read our article "Can you put a paper cup in the microwave?".
Can a cardboard plate be recycled?
The standard cardboard plates sold on the Covr website are not coated with plastic, they are 100% cardboard, which makes them recyclable. Even dirty and stained, except in certain regions, they are recyclable.
